REMA ID

The premium identification solution for your tire management

REMA TIP TOP developed the REMA ID transponder solution with the aim of making truck tire retreading as transparent and traceable as possible. Using this smart premium product lets you track your tires securely throughout their entire life cycle and identify them beyond doubt.

REMA ID relies on innovative RFID technology

REMA ID is based on the innovative, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, which enables contactless and non-visual detection of objects using radio waves. The central component of the system is a tiny transponder on which an identification code is stored. This is vulcanized into a tire or attached to an already fitted tire. The ID code can then be read using the REMA ID reader or a UHF RFID reader.

Reliable and time-saving tire identification

This technology benefits retreaders, fleet operators and service providers in many ways. While conventional tire identification is extremely error-prone because of markings being destroyed, falling off or becoming dirty, our innovative premium solution scores with impressive operational reliability. Even retreading processes cannot harm the product. What's more, it is a passive component. Its service life therefore does not depend on batteries.

Scan a large number of tires at the same time

Another benefit: you don't have to see the REMA ID patch to read it. Instead, the casing is quite simply remotely identified using a RFID reader. This speeds up identification processes and makes them more efficient.

On top of this, several tires can be remotely scanned at the same time. This saves time and effort when taking inventory in tire warehouses and hotels and when registering tires in the fleet. Since the transmission strength of the transponders is also displayed, it is also possible to determine their position. This means that even in the case of vehicles with dual tires, both tires can be identified and distinguished remotely.

Transponder chip leaves thieves without a chance

REMA ID also offers clever anti-theft protection: the ID stored on the transponder chip is globally unique and cannot be manipulated. As the solution is firmly attached to the rubber, it cannot be removed without damaging the tire.

More than 100 reads per second

The RFID transponders used in both approaches rely on the global RFID Class-1-Gen2-UHF standard and have been tested on the chassis dynamometer in accordance with the European standards ECE-R109 and ECE-R30. Well over 100 readings per second are possible over the distance of one to two meters that is common in practice. To read out the REMA ID patches, you need an RFID reader for the UHF standard.

Thanks to this enormous capacity, REMA ID helps you boost the efficiency of your tire management. Take the opportunity and leverage the benefits of this future-proof, innovative solution by REMA TIP TOP.

REMA ID SF

SOLVENT-FREE IDENTIFICATION SOLUTION FOR NEW AND RETREADED TIRES

The world‘s first solvent-free tire identification solution REMA ID SF is applied into the unmounted tire. Thanks to its robust design, the transponder can easily withstand high temperatures as well as compression, stretching and friction forces. This means that the premium product remains in service from the first to the last day of the tire‘s use.

Rema ID CV

IDENTIFICATION INNOVATION FOR FITTED AND INFLATED TIRES

Thanks to REMA ID CV (Cold Vulc), we can offer fleet managers, leasing providers and tire inspectors an innovative solution that can be retrofitted to fitted and inflated tires. In this process, the RFID transponder, which is incorporated into a patch, self-vulcanizes onto the tire. The solution can be used right up to the end of the tire‘s service life. This makes REMA ID CV a practical approach to optimizing tracking of existing tires.
